I’m so excited to receive your blog. I too have been given a gift from God and that is baking. I have been baking at home and at restaurants for many years and would love to interact more with you about our gifts and passion to please god through baking. More importantly by sharing our gifts with other people. I will email directly so we may stay in touch.
Hi Christina!
That’s so cool! I love finding out about others who have a passion for baking and use it to magnify God. I hope that you may continue to use your gift to make His name great!
Dear Grace,
I just read about you through Welcome Home, I love and look forward to her recipes daily and all her inspirational stories. I am so happy that she shared your website with us. I too, share a passion for baking and doing it for His glory and to bring people together. I lived in Santa Barbara up until 2 years ago, I was the director of fellowship at our amazing church, Southcoast Church in Goleta, I baked for 150-175 every week and I was in heaven!!!! I went through baking withdrawls when we moved back to San Diego, can you believe that? Mainly we missed our beloved church. It took us a while to find a new church but we did, it’s called “Church at the Beach” it’s in Imperial Beach and it’s known as a church with no walls because it is literally in front of the pier (on the grassy area) every Sunday at 1:30. It is awesome to see people who don’t know the Lord walk over and listen to the worship team sing and hear our pastor minister! We have a monthly potluck for all the homeless and for all visitors, we let everyone know weeks in advance when we are going to host it. I bake all the desserts and have won many hearts which has continued to bring back people to hear the gospel! When my husband and I started going to their bible study class (held at a classroom in another local church) there were only a few people attending, God put in my heart to start baking desserts for the class and so I shared with Pastor Bryan my hearts desire and he loved it. We are now up to about 18 to 20 a week and growing.
So thank you for sharing your passion as we both have the same goals!
Looking forward to seeing what God has planned for you!
Blessings,
Susan Wilkinson

p.s. I suspect you too might live in the San Diego area, if so there is a band called “Fishers of Men” that I think you would love, they are from Coronado/Imperial Beach. Check them out on you tube. We are going to hear them play this afternoon at the IB Christmas Concert by the pier. They are brothers and wow are they amazing, on fire for the LORD!
Hi Susan!
WOW! That is amazing; thank you so much for sharing! It’s amazing that you baked for so many people every week, and even more awesome that you did it for the glory of God. I’m encouraged to hear that your church is growing, and I hope that it may continue to grow through the years. I’m excited to see what God has in store for me as well =). Thank you for sharing, and I hope that I may continue to share my love for baking and for the Lord!
well, I don’t want to do the baking…will you? and ship them???
